Want to snag Megan Fox? Living in your mom’s basement and bragging about the man hours you’ve logged into your Xbox certainly won’t help. Since your old station wagon won’t cut it either, what better way to make an impression than by owning one of the Transformers 2 cars? We’ve put together a list of the hottest cars from the movie, along with how much it’ll cost you to own and insure one of these bad boys.* We’ll also rate how much each car is likely to impress the girl of all our dreams.

*Insurance rates for car models based on 5-year averages in California. Actual costs will change depending on your location and a number of other factors.

8. Mudflap: Chevy TraxMudflap

A new concept car by Chevy, the Trax is a five-door utility vehicle with a 3-cylinder, 1.0-liter engine that is sure to satisfy the minicar trend that is currently sweeping the nation. Pricing has not been announced yet, but you can vote on your favorite Chevy concept at www.vote4chevrolet.com to decide if it will be sold in the US. Mudflap is one of two new robot twins that will combine to form a larger Autobot.

Available: 2011 (depending on voting)

MSRP: N/A (Estimated $12,205 – $15,880 based on similar Yaris pricing)

Cost to Insure: N/A (Estimated $891 based on similar Yaris insurance)

Fox Factor: 1 Star

The car’s cute, but cute ain’t gonna wow the hottest girl in the world. You can always hope the safety features and MPG figures will impress…

7. Skids: Chevy BeatSkids

Although the Beat will not make its debut stateside, the new Chevy concept will be released globally as a “Spark” sometime in 2011. GM says the car will get at least 40 mpg, and pricing will be in competition with the Honda Fit. Skids is Mudflap’s twin brother, both young Autobots who will have a big role in the upcoming movie.

Available: 2010 in Europe, 2011 globally

MSRP: N/A (Estimated $14,750 based on similar 2009 Honda Fit pricing)

Cost to Insure: N/A (Estimated $991 based on similar Honda Fit insurance)

Fox Factor: 1 Star

Same as the Trax. Tomato Ta-mah-to.

6. Ratchet: H2 HummerRatchet

In case you’ve been living under a rock, the H2 is an SUV sold by GM under the Hummer brand, and is one of the most recognizable vehicles in existence. While its MPG barely breaks double digits, there’s nothing better for all your off-road and hauling needs. The Autobot Ratchet will be transforming into a lime green H2 ambulance vehicle, since his character was originally the chief medic for the Autobots team.

MSRP: Starting at $63,090

Cost to Insure: $1,792

Fox Factor: 2 Stars

“Hey Megan, look how roomy the back seat is… what’s that pepper spray doing in your hand?” Next.

5. Sideswipe: Corvette Stingray ConceptSideswipe

While the Stingray Concept isn’t the next-gen Corvette, it’s certainly a styling direction that Chevy could borrow heavily from depending on its reception by the public. It’s also one of the most talked about cars on auto forums and the web, taking styling cues from the original 1959 Stingray racer. There are no details yet about pricing or even if the car will be produced, but one thing’s for sure: it’s pretty. In the movie, the car will transform into Sideswipe, who was a Lamborghini in the popular animated series.

Available: N/A (concept only)

MSRP: N/A (The currently most expensive Corvette, the ZR1 ZR-3, costs $113,970)

Cost to Insure: N/A (The ZR1 ZR-3 costs $2901 to insure)

Fox Factor: 2 Stars

This is a car that will surely impress Megan Fox. Or remind her of a middle-aged dad with a midlife crisis. Pass.

4. Wheeljack: 2009 SAAB Aero-XWheeljack

A SAAB concept car unveiled in 2006, the Aero-X concept is powered by a 2.8-liter twin-turbo V6 producing 400 horsepower. Its 0-60 time is estimated to be at 4.9 seconds, and best of all it runs on pure ethanol. This beast of a concept is driven by a 7-speed manual transmission controlled via paddle shifters on the steering wheel. This is sure to be one of the slickest cars in the Transformers 2 movie. The SAAB Aero-X will transform into Wheeljack, the mad scientist of the Autobots who is credited with creating the Dinobots in the original series.

Available: N/A

MSRP: N/A

Cost to Insure: N/A

Fox Factor: 3 Stars

This is definitely a hot car, but you’ll probably be more busy drooling over the technology in this supercar than the girl. I don’t think an ethanol fueled engine will impress as much as you seem to.

3. Barricade: 2008 Saleen S281 MustangBarricade

A creation of Steve Saleen, who has 20 years of tuning experience under his belt as a developer of custom Ford Mustangs, the S281 Mustang features a 4.6-liter V8 with three-valve heads and two intake valves. The increased air intake produces a cooler and more efficient engine, allowing you to better take advantage of the car’s 335 horsepower engine. Barricade was defeated by Bumblebee in the movie, but is he really dead? Michael Bay isn’t talking.

MSRP: Starting at $43,999 for the coupe

Cost to Insure: $2,312 (based on similarly priced GT 500)

Fox Factor: 3 Stars

This car says you work 9-5, but have the heart of a warrior on the weekends. It’s subtle and powerful, something any girl would love. Unfortunately, Megan Fox isn’t just any girl.

2. Sideways: Audi R8Sideways

The R8 was introduced by German manufacturer Audi in 2006, designed by their premier high performance subsidiary quattro GmbH. Since its inception, the car has received the highest praise and acclaim from auto enthusiasts and critics alike, with many claiming that it is the best car of its kind in the world. The R8 sports a mid-engine configuration that comes in a V8 or V10 version. It also benefited from appearances in Robert Downey Jr.’s ultra-successful Iron Man. In the upcoming Transformers 2 movie, the Audi R8 will be the car form of the Decepticon Sideways, a twisted and chaos-driven robot who is trusted by neither side.

MSRP: Starting at $114,200

Cost to Insure: $2,905

Fox Factor: 4 Stars

A smooth, sleek ride with a recognizable European association. It will make you look sophisticated – until you open your mouth and prove otherwise. If you can stay quiet, this car actually stands a decent chance.

1. Bumblebee: 2010 Chevy CamaroBumblebee

An iconic muscle car that helped to inspire America’s love affair with automobiles, the Camaro concept first caught people’s attention in the original Transformers movie. It was later released as a coupe with 5 different trim levels and 3 different powerplant packages, the highest of which has a pavement-eating 426-horsepower engine. Visit Chevy for more details on packages and pricing. For the latest Transformers movie, the Camaro will reprise its role as the car form of the beloved Autobot Bumblebee, best friend and guardian to main character Sam Witwicky played by Shia Lebeouf.

Available: Now

MSRP: Starting at $22,245 – $33,430 for the V-6-powered LS model; $30,995 for the V-8-powered Camaro SS

Cost to Insure: $1151

Fox Factor: 5 Stars

Ding! Ding! We have a winner! This is the only car Megan Fox actually spent time in while filming, and the price tag indicates you’re not trying to buy her love. There’s nothing that a girl needs more than a comforting and familiar place after a hard day of escaping blood-thirsty Decepticons. Racing stripes sold separately.
