Blackberry car accident app
Those flustered and out of sorts by a car accident can get a better grip on the situation as new technology has launched allowing accident reports to be filed on the scene directly from BlackBerry devices. The “InsPost Auto Claims Reporting App.” is being launched byCalifornia-based ACP Interactive and will allow those involved in an accident to instantly start the claims process directly from the scene of the collision.

BlackBerry devices typically have both phone and camera capabilities, both instrumental in properly documenting a car accident for your car insurance company. The new application will rely on the current BlackBerry text, voice and phone features, prompting the user to enter specific information relative and necessary to properly beginning a claim process. That information is then provided to the specific insurance carrier in about 5 minutes, 24/7. The application will be privately labeled for any insurance provider that opts into the program.

The choice of developing the only insurance industry application of its kind specifically for BlackBerry was a simple one according toACP Interactive PresidentCamille Wehner as “…more than 25 million [of the] phones [are] in use.” Like most other technology, the application will gain more features over time and eventually be developed for other platforms such as IPhone andGoogle Android in the future.
