A national survey conducted by GMAC Insurance indicates that American drivers are planning on driving less in the coming year with the possibility of low-mileage auto insurance discounts. According to the survey, 30% of the 5,000 drivers polled report that they plan to cut back on transportation in the coming 12 months if they find that they qualify for such discounts.
The discounts representoffers from numerous insurance companiesto provide lower rates to drivers based on the number of miles they drive. As a result, those drivers who accumulate fewer miles could end up paying quite a bit less on their premiums. GMAC is one of the companies that is offering their ownpay as you go insurance option.
