Each year, Insure.com releases a list of what it has determined to be the most and lost expensive cars to insure for the year. With auto insurance rates on the rise, if you are looking to lower your rates and are thinking of buying a new car, this is a great time to make an informed decision partially based on what you think your insurance premiums will cost.
This years most expensive car to insure according to the sites list is the Porsche Carrera GT-2 two-door coupe, which is probably not a surprise to most. The site noted that a 40-year-old male would pay a national average of $2,943.78 for the car annually if he had a good driving record.
On the other side of the spectrum is the Mazda Tribute I, a 2WD four-door SUV that was voted the least expensive 2010 vehicle to insure. It came with an average cost of $1,070.25 for the year.
