Progressive Casualty Insurance Company has long been known as an innovator in the insurance industry. They constantly push the envelope to use technology as a means of promoting savings. Their latest, the Progressive “MyRate” program, is designed to monitor the driving behavior of customers in order to provide them with discounts on their car insurance premiums if they are deemed low-risk drivers. They also developed the Progressive “Pay as You Drive” program, which allows customers to identify their auto insurance budget – the number is then used to provide them with several car insurance policies based on their pricing requirements.
