Nationwide Insurance Offers New iPhone Application

Posted in Auto Insurance

December 23rd, 2009

Since a car’s safety ratings can help determine the cost of your auto insurance, Nationwide Insurance has debuted a new iPhone application that helps you compare important features when shopping for a car. The application, called Cartopia, is free and also works with the iPod Touch.

About Cartopia

Cartopia allows shoppers who have downloaded the application through the iTunes App Store to comparison shop for the right car. The comparison tool offers unbiased safety, pricing, payment and additional information that could help learn more about each vehicle.

According to the company, you could also enter the vehicle identification number (VIN) to get free AutoCheck vehicle history scores from Experian Automotive. It will allow you to search up to six specific used cars each month and you can do it right on the dealer’s lot.

Other Helpful Info from Cartopia

Here are a few additional helpful car buying tips that you might receive with the Cartopia application:

  • Trade-in value
  • Retail and dealer invoice pricing
  • Estimated monthly payment calculator
  • Quick loan rates
  • Car insurance quotes from Nationwide

Nationwide partnered with the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, Experian Automotive and IntelliChoice to create a comprehensive application for potential car buyers.
