A new report from the American Automobile Association (AAA) spells out the many ways that the cost of owning a car has increased and at the top of the list was auto insurance. New figures from the CarInsurance.com Premium Index show that the cost of car insurance in the U.S. averaged $1,570 annually in March 2010. While this number may seem a bit high for some, it actually reflects an average that shows a decrease in auto insurance premiums for most states as compared to the same time last year.
