Get Ready for Auto Insurance Premium Increases Nationwide

There is no doubt that car insurance premiums have increased over the past two years, and according to new reports, there doesn’t look to be relief in sight anytime soon. According to the Office of National Statistics, auto insurance rates are sure to increase in the coming months – and we may not be happy with the extent of the increases.

The Office of National Statistics has recently released information that predicts an increase in insurance premiums. In particular, certain car models are expected to see increases in the near future, including:

• Kia Sportage
• Hyundai Sonata
• Kia Lotze

Also, some imported cars are likely to see an increase; however, Toyota in particular, which has seen a lot of problems with its recall, is not expected to see an increase in premiums – so far.

States Expected to Increase Premiums

According to U.S. averages, approximately 23 states have seen an increase in car insurance rates since Jan. 2010 and are expected to see even more increases in the months to come. Here are a few states that have seen the greatest increases so far:

• Montana – 12 percent increase
• New Hampshire – 9.9 percent increase
• Wyoming- 8.2 percent increase
