The bundle of five games, titled “InSight,” was created to help older drivers improve mental awareness while on the road. If the customers play the game, they could save money with their auto insurance by being better drivers.

The games were sent out to 100,000 policyholders in the state who ranged in age from 50 to 75. They were designed to allow the drivers to enhance their acuity, quicken their reflexes and strengthen their memory.

The Baby Boomer generation is entering retirement age in droves, and as a result, some suffer with the possibility of weaker driving skills in the coming years. The insurance provider thought to take advantage of an increased popularity in video games and virtual reality simulators to help secure the roads, which could become more dangerous as a result of this increase in senior citizen drivers. Of course, managing auto insurance rates in the process can’t hurt, as long as lowering your rates doesn’t hurt you.
