More and more adult day care centers are springing up around the country as demand for the services increase with the aging of the baby boomer generation. Additionally, funding sources such as Medicaid waiver programs, now support this alternative to other available options out there.
For those individuals who want to be with their aging parents as much as possible, but still need to work, take care of their family or just themselves, adult day care is a viable option to assist with the caring of their elderly loved ones. The benefit is twofold as the person in adult care will be able to get a change of scenery, meet new people and experience new things to keep them both alert and interested.
