The auto insurance claims process proves to be less satisfying in 2010 than the year prior, according to a new study from J.D. Power and Associates. Satisfaction declined five points on a 1,000-point scale to 837, but still saw a 19-point jump from the figures returned in 2008.

As the nation prepares for a new world of health insurance in the near future, California gets to see changes sooner since it was designated as the test-run state for many health care reform implementations. In other insurance news, it seems the life insurance industry is continuing its rebound with sales up in the first quarter of 2010 and for those who are interested in lowering their auto insurance rates, they could take a stab at Liberty Mutual’s safe driving game.

Liberty Mutual, one of the largest and most well-recognized insurance companies has some advice for seniors this year: Give less risky financial gifts like a single payment whole life insurance policy. Seniors are also encouraged to name younger family members as their beneficiaries. “The Grandparent Economy,” a 2009 study by American Demographics founder Peter Francese, found that grandparents gave their grandchildren around $5.5 billion each year in stocks, bonds and mutual funds. Today however, these gifts may be a little high-risk for the younger generation.

Across the nation, dozens of Independence Day fireworks displays have been canceled in order to better manage the budget of struggling communities. However, that is not the case at all in Massachusetts as Boston-based Liberty Mutual Insurance will be sponsoring this year’s spectacular display featuring the colorful works of Rozzi’s coupled with the Boston Pops.

Liberty Mutual is refusing to apply for financial aid through the government’s massivefederal aid under the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP). According to John Cusolito, Liberty Mutual Insurance “has no need or interest in accessing federal funds.” That combined with Liberty Mutual’s “A” rating from AM Best Co. proves the overall financial strength of America’s fifth-largest property and casualty insurance provider.

It is an unfortunate fact of life that as you age, you hand-eye coordination and response time is often affected and makes driving more difficult and dangerous. To build empathy for the reality of aging, Liberty Mutual has just launched an online flash-based video game called”Driver Seat Game.” The game is designed to mimic the affects of aging on driving and as a way to encourage open dialog between children and their aging parents.It demonstrates just how hard it is to drive at an older age.

Liberty Mutual has recently launched their new TV ad campaign focusing on the reality of hard times, and how insurance coverage with Liberty insurance rates is here to help.
The gritty and raw commercials focus on the tough life decisions faced by a fictional family, the “Marlowes.” In different scenarios, all the family members are required to use their best judgment in what are emotionally compromising situations such as searching their teenage daughter’s private email account, or contemplating whether or not to put grandpa in a home. Liberty Mutual interest rates are not discussed in this campaign.
