You have no idea what you are talking about. Whole life is one of the best investments you can make. Especially at a young age. Whole life isn’t just a death benefit. There is also cash value attached to it. Do your research.

I’m 26 and I’m thinking of getting life insurance once I buy a house. I figure that if I were to die young, cross fingers, there would be money for my wife or family to pay off the house or any long term bills. In addition, it’ll provide some extra income for my wife to raise the family, without putting any more due stress on her, while she rebuilds her life. I know that if I were to invest on my own, and live that long, life insurance won’t pay out…yet life insurance does provide that “golden” parachute when you least expected. Cross my fingers.

Yes, whole life insurance is rarely worth it. By the way, it’s very hard to find an exact quote for it (unlike other types of insurance, you can’t just get a quote online).There are other types of life insurance, such as term life. They may be worth considering too.
